Summer School – 2022 1st-5th August
When do the sessions run?
The sessions will run Monday-Thursday from 10AM-3PM, and on the Friday from 3PM-8PM with a mini-concert at 7:30-8PM, where we invite all parents to come in to see what the students have learnt (this will depend on Covid-19 restrictions – if we are unable to do a performance in front of the parents, we will film a video with pro audio recording of the students performing).
Who can join?
Summer School is open to anyone in secondary school, aged 11-18 years old.
What happens each day?
Each day will consist of various activities including two hours of professional tuition in the students chosen instrument, a few musical group activities, and a masterclass either to do with particular instruments or music technology/music industry. On some days, students will be able to choose what masterclass the’d like to take part in.
On the Friday, there will be a mini concert in the last hour. This is when all parents will be invited to come an see what the students have learnt over the past week (Covid-19 restrictions dependent – see above).
Do I need my own instrument?
If you do not have your own instrument, we can provide one at no extra cost. We provide drums to save you carrying your drum kit!
